Dale and Darlene’s cape cod home, rooted in their family’s smalltown history, needed a refreshed exterior. Though structurally sound, it was showing its age. With NüPro’s help, a thoughtfully crafted design was created to honor their vision, but the true transformation became apparent as the unique details of the design came to life. The highlight is a handcrafted timber porch with Mortise & Tenon construction, crowned by a chandelier above a welcoming new front door. A stamped concrete walkway leads to rock-faced steps framed by stone pillars supporting the timber frame.

The exterior was further enhanced by a textured black metal roof and white Board & Batten siding, creating a striking yet timeless look. One standout feature is the use of the German Schmear masonry technique on the brick areas. This specialized method involves mixing mortar and water to create a white smear, which is painted or troweled onto the brick. The result is a beautifully weathered and textured appearance, adding character and charm unique to such skilled craftsmanship.
